About

My name is Billie Crockford. I’m an aspiring film critic and film maker. I have been a lover of films for a long time now and am continuing to broaden my film taste.

I currently study Digital Film Production at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, and by doing this, am developing my understanding of the process of making a film. To me, the art of film is extremely important, and depending on how you approach creating a film, whether it be a short, or movie length, can be a total game changer.

I have many inspirations in the film industry that even just trying to think of a few to name makes my brain feel confused. But to name a few, I would have to say Kevin Spacey, for being the amazingly talented actor and wonderful human that he is, Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, Richard Ayoade, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Mia Wasikowska, Bryan Cranston, Pixar, and hundreds more. The film world is such a huge one to explore, and I take an immense amount of pleasure in doing so.

The style that I wish to write in with this blog is fairly informal. A review, to me, should be an experience of what the particular viewer went through. I completely understand that many will disagree with my reviews and opinions, and I am always open to debate.

If you wish to check out any of my work, then feel free to visit my YouTube Channel. My work is amateur at best currently, but I hope to improve in the coming years, with my peers, and create some truly fantastic work; https://www.youtube.com/user/billieKIDD123 (you’ll have to pardon the embarrassing user name. I went through a stage where I was determined that I would make the nickname ‘billie-kidd’ catch on.)
